Complimentary Ireland Shore Excursion

“While Parker & I were on our Crystal “Bonny Isles” cruise, we took advantage of Covington’s invitation to their complimentary Virtuoso Ireland Shore Excursion to Dublin, Howth, and Malahide Castle.

There was a very short line to see the Book of Kells, so it made for an especially easy viewing. Therefore, we had more time to spend on the motor tour of the city and see areas which would not normally be on the tour.

Afterwards we traveled to the picturesque fishing village of Howth where we had an excellent lunch at the Restaurant “Aqua”. The trip to Howth was very scenic as we drove along Dublin Bay. After lunch we went to Malahide Castle which was extremely interesting.

We visited the medieval great hall and saw the collection of historical portraits and Irish period furniture. We had a look at the gardens as well. We really enjoyed the tour because it was so well organized and we were able to see a lot in a relatively short time plus had an exceptional lunch.”
