Richmond Symphony Trip to Ireland
During a recent trip to Ireland, Irish opera singer Anne O’Byrne and her husband David Fisk, Executive Director of the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, invited audiences to come and join them in a unique, home-coming concert, fundraising for two Irish charities at the National Concert Hall – the ISPCC and Dublin Simon Community.
Dee Dee White, Corporate Meeting & Event Planner at Covington Travel, planned the itinerary, managed the travel arrangements and hosted the tour on behalf of the Richmond Symphony.
Here are some testimonials from this trip:
“Everything seemed to go very well and everyone had a great time! Many thanks to all at Covington for a very smoothly executed itinerary and set of arrangements – and for the lovely bouquet and photo to boot!”
Best wishes, as ever
David J.L. Fisk
Executive Director, Richmond Symphony
“I loved our trip and hope to do another. I particularly liked the leisurely pace, staying several nights in a hotel so did not have to constantly pack and unpack, the free time (I have some back and leg issues so it was nice to be able to go back to my room and rest without feeling that I was missing something), the dinners were all lovely and yummy (and the Fitz William had gluten-free bread!), thought the finale with the storyteller was a wonderful ending to our week. I so appreciated being “welcomed” by everyone since all were strangers to me.
Loved the music! Dee Dee and our guide Patrick are treasures! I liked that you had done all the “work” for us! Feeling pampered is nice! Take care and I hope there will be something in the future that tickles my fancy.

“THANK YOU for everything you did to make the trip so glorious and run so smoothly!! Everyone had a wonderful time…I felt so fortunate to be there!! Patrick was just terrific, too – we were so lucky to have him!!
I would love to be added to the list for other trips – it’s the ideal way for me to travel now. Safe and happy travels! Dee Dee – you are Wonder Woman, to be able to turn around and go back on two long flights, time change et al.
All the best,
Cheryl

“Dee Dee, first, let me thank you again for all your help to Gale and me BEFORE the trip to Ireland. We appreciated your quick and helpful responses. As we reflect on the trip, we are even more pleased with the trip. It was great to see the beauty of Ireland, to have such a grand experience at the special concert (my favorite memory), and to meet the wonderful group of people on the tour. Thank you for all you did to make it all go well.
