Manager, Business Travel Services
Covington Travel, a Richmond, Virginia-based travel management company has an immediate career opportunity for a qualified and experienced Manager of Business Travel Services in the Richmond area. This person is responsible for effective oversight and management of the Client Services Department, as well as corporate customers’ travel programs. This includes managing customer care, ongoing relationship building, and continual assessment of customers’ needs. This hybrid (virtual/in-office) position reports to the Director of Operations at Covington’s Glen Allen Headquarters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team of Account Managers and a Business Travel Analyst
- Collaborate with all departments within the company to resolve issues and improve processes
- Serve as the principal Covington contact for a select portfolio of high-profile corporate clients, as well as be involved in all accounts as part of an effective Client Services Team
- Provide reporting and analysis of travel programs using reporting tools and software
- Maintain extensive awareness of evolving market conditions and changes in the travel industry and effectively communicate these to the customer
- Meet with corporate clients on a regular basis for Program Overviews and to provide feedback and advice relative to their travel programs
- Develop and execute orientations and training for new or existing customers
- Take the lead on implementing new accounts, working with all departments within the company to keep the project on track
Job Qualifications:
Travel Industry experience is a must, preferably working with a Travel Management Company (TMC). A degree in Business, Hospitality and Tourism or Marketing is a plus.
