What is Virtuoso Travel Week?

Just as fashion buyers attend Fashion Week, we head to Virtuoso Travel Week to shop the newest travel trends and products for our clients. These include emerging destinations, exciting hotel openings and service enhancements, upcoming air and cruise line news, and more.
We spend the week discovering and researching the most extraordinary travel experiences for our clients. It’s at Virtuoso Travel Week that we make connections that help us design customized vacations that build memories that last a lifetime.

Who Attends?

The event is for Virtuoso travel agencies like us, and our preferred travel providers, many of which are announcing new products and services. This year, Vacation Advisors Judy Faust from our Charlottesville office and Pat Franks from our Glen Allen headquarters location are excited to attend. They will have a full schedule of seminars and events to learn about travel trends and destinations plus get to network with hundreds of travel suppliers in a well-orchestrated “speed-dating” format. If there’s a specific trip you’re interested in, we can schedule a video conference call with them from Virtuoso Travel Week. Judy and Pat can invite any of the Virtuoso preferred travel providers to join the call to give you a first-hand account of what they offer, and how you would benefit.

We are also very proud that Dee Dee White, Corporate Meeting & Event Planner with Covington Meetings & Events, has been chosen to sit on the expert panel for the program titled “Here Comes the Bride: Destination Weddings” which is part of the Professional Advisor Development Series. Dee Dee will share tips on how to execute a flawless event gleaned by her extensive professional experience in event planning.

Susan Morris-Morrow, Covington’s Manager Vacation Travel Sales Division, will be attending the Professional Development series and the travel provider appointment sessions. One of Susan’s many responsibilities is to arrange in-house product training for Covington Vacation Advisors. By networking with travel providers during Virtuoso Travel Week, Susan learns of emerging travel trends and product enhancements so she can keep all Covington Vacation Advisors in the know.
