The Fourth of July is the most American of holidays, celebrating the independence of the United States and the freedoms that are enjoyed by the 300 million people who call it home. There are many different ways to celebrate, but undoubtedly the most popular is watching some form of fireworks extravaganza!
Where to See Fabulous 4th of July Fireworks – If you find yourself in any of these cities be sure to see the spectacular firework extravaganzas that they put on every year.
The Fourth of July has always been a favorite holiday for me. From a self-indulgent perspective, I love it because July 4th usually involves family gatherings at the beach and groaning boards of all-American cookout favorites. My Mom always creates fun, themed craft projects for the grandkids, and the adults enjoy a day away from the pressures of the office. We all proudly wear our red, white and blue, and the day culminates with a group outing to an evening fireworks show.Â
The patriotic side of me always wells up with pride when I hear a stirring rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Previously, I’ve written about What the Fourth of July Means to Me and I hope many of you share my pride in our outstanding military heroes that risk everything to serve our country and protect the freedoms that we enjoy.
Whether you are away on vacation or grilling in your own back yard, Covington Travel wishes you a happy Independence Day!
